Mission Statement
We are the parish of Our Lady Help of Christians, one parish with four worship
communities. We are most of all, a people who recognize the presence of the
Risen Christ in the Breaking of the Bread. Companions on a journey of faith, we
continue to grow in the awareness that we are the Body of Christ, gifted with
many members, united by the Holy Spirit, a sacrament of Christ's presence and
action in the world today. We are called and challenged to live the mystery of Christ's love
with our lives.
We are called and challenged in the Name of:
Jesus Emmanuel, to be open to the Word of God, fully alive in the Spirit, and present for others all the moments of their lives, following the example of Mary.
Jesus the Good Shepherd, to care for the flock, share responsibility, and work together to further the reign of God.
Jesus Our Savior, to take a counter-cultural stance toward the materialism of society and proclaim with our lives that our salvation is in Jesus alone.
Jesus Divine Redeemer, to bring people who feel alienated or lost to the realization that God loves them and draws them forward with His grace to reconciliation.
Jesus the Christ Child, to exhibit simple trust and joyful wonder as we experience His deep love for each member of our Christian family from conception to death.
Jesus Our Teacher, to listen to the Word of God, to be nourished by it, and to witness to our faith in word and action following His example.
